What happens
Leroy Forrester sells flower and vegetable seeds door to door in Summerfield while his uncle, Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve, looks on and offers unasked-for sales lessons. Leroy hopes to sell all his seeds, and Gildersleeve, who wants to show him how it is done, takes over several sales calls. The pair later bring seed to Judge Hooker and try to plant a garden on a plot of land they believe belongs to the family. This is a 1942 episode of The Great Gildersleeve, broadcast on NBC on April 20, 1942, starring Harold Peary, with Willard Waterman and Lillian Randolph in the cast. Gildersleeve and Leroy's plans for the plot run into trouble as they work out where the land actually lies.
Summerfield, a small town, and a rural plot of land just outside the city limits

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
