What happens
Leroy and his young friend Craig are caught by the police after taking lumber from a half-built house on Lakeside Avenue in Summerfield. Gildersleeve, Leroy's uncle, arrives at the station and argues with the desk sergeant over whether the boys should be held. He tries to reason with Leroy, who has been a handful, and considers sending him to military school. Later he visits his friends at the Jolly Boys Club, where the members debate whether boys will be boys and whether the matter should be dropped. The story is set in a small town and follows Gildersleeve's struggle to decide how to handle his nephew's misbehavior.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
