What happens

Throat-clearing aside, Gildersleeve decides to save money by buying hair clippers and cutting the hair of his nephew Leroy and the twins of Marjorie. His attempt goes badly, and a clumsy cut leaves him with a lopsided haircut. Soon his barber Floyd and the druggist P.V. Pivey are both angry with him over the clippers, and Gildersleeve struggles to repair his friendships. The story follows his awkward efforts to hide his hair from his friend Grace Tuttle while the feud between the two men grows.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
