What happens
Fred Allen and his regular cast gather for the final program of the season, tallying leftover commercial mentions and fanfares as Harry Von Zell and Peter Van Steeden go over their books. Allen then brings on a run of guest segments: Dunston Delve, a man who keeps a promise to his late mother by visiting the Thousand Islands, and Mr. Cram, who takes an eating vacation with his wife. Blossom Horskowitz presents her Catskills hotel with a poem, and softball star Kay Roar talks with Allen about the sport. The broadcast, from the 1940 series starring Fred Allen, was first aired on June 26, 1940, with Portland Hoffa and Kenny Delmar in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
