What happens

Fred Allen and Harry Von Zell open the final New York broadcast of the season, bantering about their upcoming trip to Hollywood and a few jokes they decide to drop. The program moves through a series of comic sketches. A news segment satirizes the wettest May in New York weather history, with a meteorologist offering absurd explanations for the rain. A bride recounts her disastrous wedding day, and a fairground employee describes the rain-soaked World's Fair. Later, a visiting doctor, Dr. Rockwell, sells Fred an unusual vacation plan and promotes theories about money, diet and bees. Portland Hoffa and Minerva Pious appear in the broadcast's domestic humor.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
