What happens
Fred Allen hosts a variety broadcast from the Old Town Hall, mixing comic sketches, music and a parade of guest jokes. The first part features a dentist's office where a patient's painless extraction goes wrong, followed by a Town Hall News report on glass clothing that shatters around a courting couple in a parlor. Lord Falconbeak's Dilemma is performed by the Mighty Allen Art Players, a comic English drawing-room playlet in which Lord Falconbeak and his butler Chubb bicker over the ashes of his late wife's husband and a suspicious burglary. The broadcast is a Fred Allen program on CBS and NBC, first aired on January 29, 1936, with Allen, Portland Hoffa, Kenny Delmar and Minerva Pious among the performers.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
