What happens

Fred Allen, appointed a police officer at Old Orchard Beach, is presented with a plaque by Mr. John A. Howe, president of the New Jersey Club of Fordham University, naming him the university's favorite radio comedian. Fred then introduces a segment on billboards, featuring Bobbin Haddock, Mrs. Valfort Testy and Rancid McNally. Later, eagle expert Captain Charles Knight visits the studio with his golden eagle, Mr. Ramshaw, and talks about how eagles hunt and how they are kept. Harry Von Zell, Portland Hoffa and Minerva Pious also appear in the broadcast, which is the Fred Allen Show, first aired in 1940.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
