What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly visit a radio studio on a guided tour, where they meet Mr. Gildersleeve, a girdle manufacturer who has bought airtime for his advertising but has no program ready. Fibber offers to help with a new audience-participation idea. Gildersleeve agrees, and Fibber presents a quiz show in which members of the studio audience step forward to answer questions drawn from a hat. The episode is part of the Fibber McGee and Molly series, first broadcast on NBC Radio on January 23, 1940, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
