What happens

Molly McGee loses her diamond engagement ring while her husband Fibber McGee is busy with the house cleaning. Fibber, who has been hanging around and getting in the way, joins the search as Molly grows more anxious. Neighbors Mrs. Uppington and Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve drop by, and the hunt turns up a string of comic distractions, from old vaudeville stories to Fibber's tinkering with the vacuum cleaner and a hypnotism mishap. The episode is from the Fibber McGee and Molly series, first broadcast on NBC Radio on February 3, 1942, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
