What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly is a 1940 episode of the long-running radio comedy series, first broadcast on NBC Radio on May 7, 1940, starring Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan. Fibber McGee takes part in a women's club May Festival play, costumed as Sir Lancelot in a suit of armor, and a fictional rivalry with the blustering Mr. Gildersleeve spills over into the show. Afterward, McGee finds the armor cannot be removed, and he and Molly set out across town in search of someone who can free him. Along the way they encounter Mr. Wilcox, Mr. Boomer and an old-timer named Johnny, each offering a fresh suggestion. The episode is largely comedic, with ongoing banter throughout.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
