What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly receive a telegram from Otis Cadwallader, a wealthy former flame of Molly's, announcing that he is sending a record-breaking salmon by air express. Fibber, who is jealous of Otis, decides to host a salmon dinner for their friends, inviting neighbors and acquaintances to the house. The guests gather and grow impatient as the fish is delayed, while Fibber's comments about Otis and Molly's past keep the household stirred up. The episode is from the Fibber McGee and Molly series, first broadcast on NBC Radio on May 13, 1941, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan among the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
