What happens
Fibber McGee and Mayor LaTrivia go duck hunting at Mud Lake, bragging about their skill while the day goes badly from the start. Fibber believes he is a natural hunter, and the two quarrel constantly over silence, ducks and who is to blame. The series Fibber McGee and Molly aired on NBC Radio on November 3, 1942, with Harold Peary and Bill Thompson among the cast. Their mishaps mount as the afternoon goes on, and the men return home with only a single duck between them.

Listen for: Fibber's boasts about his hunting instincts and the Mayor's constant complaints about his gabbiness
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
