What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly, on NBC Radio, air date March 10, 1942, stars Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan. Fibber decides to build a footstool himself rather than buy a rickety one advertised in a store, and Molly teases him about the project. Meanwhile Fibber recounts a tall fishing tale to the neighbors, Mayor LaTrivia comes by, and the household's tools and projects begin to pile up in the living room. Other neighbors drop in as the evening's small domestic problems mount, with Fibber and Molly trading jokes throughout.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
