What happens
Margaret Anderson loses her wedding ring down the kitchen drain and in the furnace vent while doing the dishes with her daughter Betty. Jim Anderson and the household members search the house in secret, each unaware the others are looking too. Father Knows Best is a radio series starring Robert Young as Jim Anderson, and this episode first aired on March 19, 1953. The episode's search and mounting confusion keep the household busy and suspicious of one another.
