What happens

The Anderson family has brought a trunk of old belongings home from Grandpa's house in Toledo, and they are sorting through it on the back porch of their Maple Street home. Jim finds his old high school annual and his swimming trunks, and he boasts to his son Bud that he once swam on a college team. Bud tells his friend Joe Phillips, who challenges his own father, George, to a race. Jim now faces a public contest he never meant to enter. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
