What happens
Bud Anderson, a young boy in the Anderson household on Maple Street, is annoyed when his sister Betty and her friend Kathy keep invading his upstairs room, which he regards as his private domain. Feeling pushed around, Bud declares he has had enough of girls and plans to fend them off. His parents, Jim and Margaret, try to reason with him as his cousin-like guest Jennifer March is set to stay in his room for a few days. Bud reluctantly prepares to move out to a tent in the backyard while his parents talk him through the situation. This is the Father Knows Best episode first broadcast on January 29, 1953, starring Robert Young as the father.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
