What happens
Jim Anderson is nominated for the school board, but on the same evening his plans fall apart when babysitters cancel and the Anderson household is left with his children Bud and Kathy and the rambunctious six-year-old George Kirby. Betty Anderson has spent the afternoon finding sitters for other families attending the meeting, only to discover that the Kirbys' child has been left in her own house. Margaret Anderson and Jim struggle to find a solution, while Jim spends the evening trying to win over George. Father Knows Best is a radio family comedy with Robert Young as Jim Anderson, and this episode was broadcast on February 12, 1953.
