What happens

Danny, a former soldier who once glimpsed a giant ruby in a temple in India, tries to raise passage money in a San Francisco bar, where the owner Anton Korchach refuses to help him. Danny finds a ship bound for India and pays his fare, then hires a guide, Subhas, and travels up river toward the temple of Kali. Once there he is caught and taken before the elder Sanyasi Adram, who treats him with unexpected courtesy and invites him to a feast. Danny grows uneasy about the temple's intentions as he tries to understand the old man who sits by the idol. This is the final episode of the series' run, presented on the CBS Radio Network in 1954.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
