What happens
Kennedy, a claims investigator for an insurance company, hunts for Arthur Mattson, who escaped with a bank's hundred thousand dollars while in his custody. His trail leads from Santiago to Masafuera, a remote island off Chile, where he is told an American may be living. In Santiago, a man named Perez is found dead in a bar, and a woman calling herself Eve Coleman vanishes after the killing. Kennedy's search and his dealings with the local police and his companion Pepe bring him closer to the island.
