What happens
Captain Mac and his wife Mary run a small fishing boat on the English Channel during wartime. After a recovery job at sea, a one-armed man named Dandy and Mac are drawn into a dispute with a stranger who hires their boat for a secret crossing to Belgium. The stranger, calling himself Mr. Dennis, has a briefcase and no credentials, and he insists on sailing at once. Tension rises as the passengers talk about the sea and the war, and the stranger's intentions remain unclear. Escape, a half-hour radio drama, presents David Divine's story Flood on the Goodwins, which first aired on July 24, 1954, with Vic Perrin among the cast.
The English Channel and the Goodwin Sands off the coast of Dover, England, during wartime.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
