What happens
Tony Barrett, a diver in South America, is hired by Vincent Murdoch to salvage gold from the wreck of the Santa Rosa, a boat lost fourteen years earlier during a rebellion. Murdoch recruits Trent, Sandoval's daughter Maria, and the native Batu for the expedition up the Paraguay River. Trent grows suspicious of Murdoch's methods and of the native warnings about the river. The episode of Escape, first broadcast on June 17, 1954, is built on a story of greed and dark water.
