What happens
Lieutenant Brady, a former naval flier, is brought to a hospital after being rescued from a life raft, and he tells a doctor an extraordinary account. He describes a bombing mission in which his plane was damaged, a crash landing on an unfamiliar island, and a sudden encounter with a man named Dr. Grove. Dr. Grove and his companions possess powers that seem impossible, and Brady describes being immobilized by a strange radiance and taken underground. The doctor listens skeptically as Brady tries to convince him that a threat to the world is real. This episode of Escape, aired on March 5, 1949, is adapted from a story by Nelson Bond, with David Ellis starring as Lieutenant Brady and Ted von Elst and Bill Johnstone in supporting roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
