What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, is wary when his old friend Dave Hosinger returns with talk of a secret scientific experiment to split and reassemble the atom. Dave borrows the back room for his work with a professor named Radcliffe and asks Archie for money to buy a special ingredient, which Archie provides. Archie becomes suspicious of the eccentric professor and of Dave's claims. This is an episode of the Duffy's Tavern series, originally broadcast on November 30, 1945, starring Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop. The story is a comedy built around Archie's gullibility and the tavern regulars' banter.
