What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, is tired of his low pay and turns to the personal column to find a rich wife. Eddie, the waiter, helps him write the ad. Archie proposes quickly, but she soon reveals that she has a fourteen-year-old son, Egbert, which complicates his plans. Characters: Archie, Eddie, Duffy, Agatha Pitts, Egbert, Joe, Finnegan, Miss Ozzie
Listen for: Archie's ad in the personal column and his reaction when Agatha reveals she has a son.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
