What happens

Dimension X presents a story set in 1965 at San Marco Air Base in the southwest desert. Test pilot Steve Weston climbs in the experimental rocket ship Bishop toward the outer limit of space, while his friend Hank Hanson directs the flight from ground control. Weston reports an unexplained shining object, then goes silent, and the base searches for him as the hours pass. The episode is an adventure in time and space told in future tense, first broadcast on April 8, 1950.

Characters: Steve Weston, Hank Hanson, Charlie, Major Donaldson, Mary Weston, Herbert Ames

Listen for: Weston's account of the shining object he chases beyond the outer limit, and the strange story he tells afterward

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
