What happens

Captain Thorson commands the Star Cloud, the sixth ship sent to breach the Galactic Barrier, an invisible wall that has destroyed five earlier expeditions bound for the planet Volker. Stowaway Charlie Matt, a veteran radio operator, is discovered aboard before takeoff and is kept on the ground, while navigator Lieutenant Collier takes charge of plotting the course. As the ship nears the barrier, crew members show signs of illness known as space blues, and a radiation source is traced to a hidden device. The Dimension X episode No Contact aired on April 29, 1950, and features Wendell Holmes as Captain Thorson and Lawson Harvey as Lieutenant Collier.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
