What happens
Dark Fantasy presents Demon Tree, first broadcast on December 5, 1941. Humphreys, Crane, Danvers and Clara, a group of travelers waiting at an inn for a stage to take them away, decide to walk into the forest behind the inn. The night clerk has told them of a strange old legend about the forest, and when they find a towering tree, strange sensations and a sudden chill and darkness close in around them. Crane wanders off alone, and the others begin to fear that the forest itself is working against them.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
