What happens
The Comic Weekly Man reads the funny pages aloud to a little girl named Miss Honey, presenting the comic strips of Puck the Comic Weekly in a playful, cheerful way. He opens with Beetle Bailey, a lazy soldier who is accidentally loaded onto a laundry truck while sleeping in a sack and returned to the Army post. Next comes Peter Pan, where Peter and the children fly toward Neverland while Captain Hook prepares to fire on them, and Tinker Bell leaves the children behind. Then Roy Rogers, Dagwood and Blondie, Donald Duck, Dick's Adventures, Rusty Riley and Flash Gordon are each read in turn, with the readings stopping partway through their stories. The host and his young listener comment on each strip as they go.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
