What happens
The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies from Puck the Comic Weekly to Honey and the children, beginning with Beetle Bailey. At an army camp, Beetle is hit by a major's jeep, but the officers fuss over the major's bloodied nose while Beetle is ordered to stay put. Next comes Walt Disney's The Sword and the Rose, where Princess Mary has married the King of France to save Charles Brandon's life, and Brandon waits in a London dungeon. Roy Rogers pursues the outlaw Gaffir, who escapes over a cliff with a stolen saddle, and Flash Gordon returns to Earth to find everything has changed. The reading then moves to Dagwood and Blondie, Uncle Remus's Brer Rabbit, and Dick's Adventures, with Rusty Riley and a theater troupe closing the section.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
