What happens
The Comic Weekly Man, a jolly radio host, reads the funny pages aloud to young listeners from the pages of Puck the Comic Weekly. He tells a riddle about learning to ride a bicycle and then reads several comic strips in turn. Bringing Up Father shows Jiggs fighting a leaking roof and drilling into the landlord's floor. Uncle Remus tells a tale of Brer Rabbit mistaking chloroform for smelling salts. Roy Rogers pursues a boy who has been chased by two men after a saddle. Flash Gordon traps a giant in a hollow tree, and Walt Disney's story of Mary Tudor and Charles Brandon begins. Dick's adventures follow John Sutter during the California gold rush, and Rusty Riley reaches the Lexington horse show. The episode ends with Dagwood and Blondie and a moose head.

Listen for: The Comic Weekly Man's riddle about learning to ride a bicycle, and the punchline about the sidewalk.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
