What happens

The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies from Puck the Comic Weekly to a little girl named Miss Honey. He reads a strip about Snookums and a salesman who tries to sell Archie an accident policy, then a Flash Gordon adventure in which Flash faces execution by the Ray Wizard. Next comes Dixie Dugan's story of Dick, who dreams of 1776 and meets George Washington and Betsy Ross as they plan the first American flag, and a Rusty Riley tale of smugglers. The broadcast also includes Donald Duck, Roy Rogers, Dagwood and Blondie, and Prince Valiant. Original air date: 1950-12-10.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
