What happens

The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies from Puck the Comic Weekly to his young listeners, along with his friend Miss Honey. The strips he reads include Hopalong Cassidy, where Hoppy and California bid on Don Ramos's ranch at an auction while Sloat's crooked gang tries to block them, and Prince Valiant, where Val and his companions climb toward the mountain peaks. He also reads Dagwood and Blondie, who clean the house for two parties in one day, and Roy Rogers, who helps Doolfoo Hawkins drive cattle over a mountain trail. The broadcast ends with the start of a Flash Gordon voyage to the moon.

Characters: Comic Weekly Man, Miss Honey, Hopalong Cassidy, California, Lucky, Sloat, Prince Valiant, Dagwood

Listen for: The Comic Weekly Man reads each strip aloud, with Miss Honey reacting between them.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
