What happens
The jolly Comic-Weekly Man reads the funnies to a young listener named Honey, who is excited because Christmas is coming and she has written to Santa Claus. He then reads a run of Puck the Comic Weekly strips aloud. Hopalong Cassidy is captured by Indians after tracking rifle smugglers, and Lucky and the marshal watch from behind a rock as he is tied to a stake. Prince Valiant follows Tilikum, who has been brought before King Agua and must answer for freeing the sea pirate Voltar. The reading then moves on to Alice in Wonderland, in which Alice flees the Queen of Hearts and wakes safely in her own garden. The episode is recorded in the Comic-Weekly style of the 1951 broadcast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
