What happens
Gracie Allen becomes absorbed in spiritualism and consults a medium, Swami Arbol, who claims she can speak with figures from history. Through him she receives advice from the spirit of Napoleon to buy a swampy lot, and she purchases it from Joe Bagley for eight hundred dollars. George Burns is skeptical of the medium and the advice, and he tries to set matters right. The episode is from the George Burns and Gracie Allen series, originally broadcast on May 27, 1948, on CBS and NBC Radio, with George Burns, Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the cast.
Present-day Los Angeles and its surroundings, including the Burns home, a cigar store, a swamp lot outside town, and an apartment.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
