What happens
On St. Patrick's Day, George Burns and Gracie Allen trade jokes about a parade and about Gracie's romance with bandleader Artie Shaw. Jimmy Wallington, the announcer, joins the banter as George tries to end the romance with a sympathy speech. Artie Shaw, the orchestra leader, schemes with the band's musicians, who plan to bring in a stand-in girlfriend to make George jealous. The broadcast mixes running gags, a song from Gracie, and a wrestling-match routine played for laughs. Burns and Allen is a comedy series from the period, and this installment is from March 17, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
