What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen deal with George's low spirits after their new neighbor, Gordon Cates, moves in next door. Gracie consults Uncle John and tries cheering George up with a movie, new clothes and a bath, hoping to bring back his singing. George then decides to show up Cates by singing at a party the couple is hosting, and he invites Cates and society woman Mrs. Isabel Randolph to attend. Harry Vonsell is also among the guests. The Burns and Allen series aired on CBS and NBC Radio, and this episode is from March 12, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
