What happens
Gracie Allen tries to get money from George Burns for a new evening gown. George has given her $25 to buy long underwear, but she spends it as a down payment on a gown at the shop of Pierre, a dress designer. Gracie then flatters George with compliments and sweet talk to win more cash from him. Meanwhile the Burns household observes their newlywed neighbors and Gracie makes a show of her affection before breakfast. The story continues into a scheme involving Gracie's singing ambitions, with George looking on.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
