What happens
Gracie Allen wants money for Christmas shopping, so she pampers George Burns at breakfast and then tries to earn her own. She hears a suggestion from Meredith Willson about selling door to door and visits a progressive school run by Professor Abercrombie. There she hires young Charles Miller, who sells boxes of Perfecto Royale cigars for her. Gracie's plan keeps tangling with George's cigar supply and her own growing schemes. The episode is from the Burns and Allen series, first aired on 1946-11-28 on CBS and NBC Radio, with Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc among the leads.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
