What happens
Gracie Allen asks her friend Blanche Morton for advice on a birthday present for her husband George Burns. Blanche suggests a home movie about George's life, and Gracie decides to film a re-enactment of the day George proposed to her. She recruits dancer Gene Kelly to play George in his Vaudeville days, and they set out to film the scene in a park. The planned surprise is complicated when George hears a distorted account of what Gracie has been doing. The story was broadcast on the Burns and Allen radio series on January 27, 1949, on CBS and NBC.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
