What happens

George Burns is summoned to traffic court over a parking ticket issued to his car, which was driven by his wife Gracie Allen. Gracie's erratic filing system makes it hard to locate the ticket, and George tries several lawyers and a friendly contact to help him. Gracie then takes on the case herself, accompanied by a hopeful actor and a notoriously cheerful courtroom performance. The episode is from the Burns and Allen radio series, first broadcast on June 1, 1943 on CBS and NBC Radio, with Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the lead roles.

Burns and Allen's home, the courthouse and the judge's chambers in an unspecified city, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
