What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen are at home one morning, with their housekeeper Mrs. Reagan preparing breakfast. Gracie reminisces fondly about an old boyfriend, Joe Modoo, a handy man, which irritates George. Gracie loosens a bolt under the kitchen sink, hoping to snap George out of his mood by having him fix it. When a plumber is summoned to repair the sink, Gracie and George find the repairs getting more complicated, and the household's trouble grows. The series is Burns and Allen, first broadcast on September 26, 1944, with Gracie Allen and George Burns in the leading roles.
