What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen live in Beverly Hills, where Gracie's women's club, the Beverly Hills Uplift Society, keeps meeting at their house despite George's objections. To raise money, the club decides to stage a version of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and the members argue over who should play the monster. George is cast as Dr Jekyll but refuses the part, and Gracie holds auditions while the women rehearse at home. A neighbour, Bill Goodwin, is drawn into the squabbling as well. The episode is from the Burns and Allen series, first broadcast on 5 January 1943 on CBS and NBC Radio, with Gracie Allen and George Burns in the lead roles.

Listen for: Gracie's women's club planning a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde play, and George's attempts to stop their meetings
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
