What happens

Dan Garrett, a police patrolman who fights crime in secret as the Blue Beetle, investigates a crash of one of the new fighting planes built for the United States Army. With his friend Dr. Franz, a chemist, he finds evidence that the crash was sabotage, pointing to the Darryl Airplane Company. Later, alone at the experimental construction department, the Blue Beetle confronts a saboteur who plans to bring down a super bomber. The Blue Beetle is caught by the gang's leader, Captain X-13, who plans to liquidate him, and Jane Barrow, the daughter of the factory's owner, is taken prisoner as well. The episode is the first part of a two-part story.

The city, a Darryl Airplane Company experimental construction department, a chemist's apothecary shop, and a saboteurs' headquarters ship on the river.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
