What happens
Captain Friday and Skip Turner, agents on a special assignment for U.S. military intelligence, rescue a bound and gagged girl, Judith Wright, on a small island off the Pacific coast of Canada. A dying soldier had asked them to take her to Fort Lancer, so they sail to the mainland and ride toward the town. At the livery stable, a stableman knocks Skip unconscious in a box stall, and Captain Friday goes looking for him and for Judith, who has slipped off down the street. The two men follow her into the woods to a lonely cabin, where they look through a window and see Judith apparently placed in a coffin. The story is part of the Adventures by Morse series, first broadcast on January 6, 1944.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
