What happens

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello play two friends who receive an invitation from wealthy widow Mrs. Wetwash to spend Washington's birthday at her winter resort in Sun Valley. Costello is pressured by Abbott to attempt a dangerous ski jump at Dead Man's Leap, though he is reluctant. Their banter drifts into a muddled argument over George Washington's history, with each man correcting the other's facts. Once at the resort, Costello slides down a bobsled run and tries to get the attention of a skier named Merlin. The broadcast is part of the Abbott and Costello series, which aired on NBC and ABC in February 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
