What happens
Lou Costello hunts for work after Bud Abbott pushes him to find a job, and he answers newspaper ads for babysitters, a job he treats as a laugh. Along the way he runs into Susan Miller, his romantic interest, and a string of comic characters including a salesman and a neighbor, while Abbott's wife Kathy trades jabs with him about his appearance. The episode is part of the Abbott and Costello series, originally broadcast on April 28, 1948, on NBC and ABC, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the leads, alongside Elvia Allman and Connie Haines.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
