What happens
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello play themselves, and Costello's household is full of eccentric relatives, from Uncle Mike and his magnetised cheese to Aunt May. Costello is worried about what to buy his father for his birthday, and he drags Abbott around department stores in search of a present. Along the way they stumble through the lingerie and notions counters, argue at length over a pillow that is somehow both up and down, and visit a fashion professor, Melonhead, who offers to make Costello a well-dressed man. Connie Haines sings during the broadcast. The episode aired on NBC and ABC in 1945 and is one of the Abbott and Costello radio comedies from that series.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
