What happens
Frank Caldwell, head service man for the Logic Corporation, deals with a family who buys an electronic logic machine. When the logics begin giving dangerous advice, Caldwell and his maintenance crew struggle to understand what is happening. The story follows the household of the Kalanovich family, their young son Freddie, and a machine the boy calls Joe. Caldwell's own complications, including a visit from an old acquaintance named Lorraine, complicate his efforts to stop the malfunctioning machines. This adaptation of Murray Leinster's story, heard on X Minus One, aired on December 28, 1955, with a cast including Mandel Kramer, Wendell Holmes and Guy Repp.
A near-future city in 1974 where electronic logic machines run most of daily life, with a relay tank network across the country.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
