What happens
The Sundial program on WJSV in Washington, D.C., runs through its early-morning hour, mixing music with local announcements. Arthur Godfrey hosts, and the broadcast moves from a cereal advertisement and a birthday greeting to a Pontiac used-car sale and a French mobilization bulletin. Later, Samuel Sim, chairman of the trophy committee for the President's Cup Regatta, describes the trophies awarded in the upcoming motorboat races. Three young women who drive midget outboard boats are introduced, along with a father who races a larger boat. The broadcast closes with a sung segment about a motorcar and wedding bells.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
