What happens

The Whistler tells the story of Robert Bolton, a charming con man who arrives in the small town of Redmond and takes a room at the Randolph house. The Randolph sisters, Evie and Martha, are living on credit, believing their late grandfather, Colonel Randolph, hid two hundred thousand dollars somewhere on the property. Robert sets out to win Martha's affection and gain access to the secret verse that leads to the hidden fortune. Sheriff Conway grows suspicious of his intentions toward Martha, and tensions rise within the household as Robert pursues his plan.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
